Lansdowne Road is where it all began for Richie McCaw nine years ago, and he was back for record test number 93 with Mils Muliaina, while Dan Carter was attempting to hone in Johnny Wilkinson's all time test scoring record.

He was locked in real duel with his opposite, but Ireland had the All Blacks shamrocked, out tackling the all blacks 3 to 1, and soon cracked them, scoring the opening try.

The All Blacks took a further blow when Tom Donnelly was subbed off with a serious knee injury, but there was nothing wrong with his locking partner, Anthony Boric.

The All Blacks were up 19 -13 at halftime and never relinquished the lead.

Cory Jane stopped the green machine scoring another, but there was no stopping the All Blacks.
Only Carter came up short in the 38-18 win, falling two points short of Wilkinson's test record.

His quest will have to wait until next weekend, when the All Blacks meet Wales and look to wrap up their third grand slam in five years.
