After a close shave at the Rugby World Cup final, All Black captain Richie McCaw has neglected the razor for Movember.
McCaw is just one of thousands of "Mo Bros" across the country who have been growing a moustache this month to raise funds and awareness for men's health, particularly prostate cancer and depression.
"I jumped on board with Movember after the World Cup as I thought it would be a bit of fun and men in New Zealand certainly need to take their health more seriously," McCaw said.
"Over the past month I have humbled by the amount of donations and support I have received and hopefully have helped Movember have a really successful month, which it certainly looks like they have.
"I have been pretty happy with the Mo, it grew better than I thought it would and just went with the traditional slug in the end. To be fair I am looking forward to shaving it on Wednesday, one month a year is enough at the moment, well done to everyone that got involved."
Movember has so far raised more than $936,000 in New Zealand and more than $78.6 million worldwide.
