Blues happy to get Crusaders first up By: Matt Brown Friday February 24 2012

The Blues are thrilled to be playing the Crusaders in the opening round of Super Rugby.
The tournament kicks off at Eden Park tonight with Blues officials anticipating a crowd in excess of 30,000.
Without Dan Carter and Richie McCaw at the start of the campaign the Crusaders are far from full strength and Blues flanker Daniel Braid says it's a good time to hit them.
He says they beat the Crusaders in round one last year and have had early season success against them in the past.
There's an Australian derby tonight with the Brumbies and Force meeting in Canberra and the South African conference kicks off tomorrow morning with the Bulls hosting the Sharks.
