Final Score: Crusaders 33 – 18 Waratahs

9:15pm - The game's final sequence sees three big attacks but no points. Drew Mitchell nearly got away but was tracked down by Dagg. Eventually Kieran Read had had enough and put it over the sideline. Game over, Crusaders win an emotionally charged match, 33-18.

9:14pm - They work a scrum base move but as has been the case in the last 15 minutes it breaks down with inaccurate passing.

9:13pm - The game heads into the final few minutes, with the Crusaders to have one last attacking foray into the Waratahs half.

9:10pm - A Crusaders backline goes wrong when Dagg gets a bit cute and attempts a tap on pass, he only succeeded in knocking it over the touchline. Losing shape in the final five.

9:08pm - Try Waratahs! Tongan born Pakalani, the replacement winger showed his extreme pace dashing down the right hand touchline to score. The conversion attempt was awful from Beale, in fact the place kicking in general from the 'Tahs has been average.

9:05pm - With ten minutes to go in this one, the result is beyond doubt. It will be a battle for bonus points in the final stages. Can the Crusaders pick up four tries or will the Waratahs finish with a flourish?

9:00pm - The 'Tahs make some headway up the middle of the park, they are met by solid Crusader defence, namely Kieran Read with a massive hit.

8:59pm - The game's all over the place at the moment, both teams not able to secure possession at the breakdown. A lot of running from side to side but not much go forward.

8:56pm - Carter kicks down field as the Crusaders search for a bonus point try...Whitelock makes a break but the ball comes free, a let off for the Waratahs.

8:54pm - Phill Waugh comes to the sidelines, he's battled hard tonight.

8:51pm - Another scrum penalty puts the 'Tahs on attack but Jack nabs it from the lineout to set alight the backs. Fruean and Williams combining well before prop Wyatt Crockett makes a superb break! Great run from the big man.

8:49pm - Sloppy stuff from both teams, the Waratahs are really struggling at scrum time, the Crusaders causing all sorts of problems for halfback Luke Burgess.

8:45pm - Waratahs get a penalty and signal their intent, they kick for the line and go for a try. Now or never for the men from NSW. Their backs try valiantly but run out of room and are bundled into touch.

8:40pm - Waratahs have a mid field scrum with attacking options, they swing it wide to Beale but he losses it over the touchline, slack hands from the 'Tahs.

8:37pm - Blistering start to the second spell by the Cantabs. The machine took a while to get going but once it did they haven't looked back!

8:33pm - Try! Sonny Bill Williams gets his first as a Crusader! The hulking mid fielder benefited from the lead up work by Maitland and Fruean. He then got his mits on the ball and stepped his way to the line. Great try.

8:30pm - First half tries video now up, check them out especially Fruean's intercept stunner! Second half has kicked off, Crusaders on attack early.

8:20pm - On the stroke of halftime, Carter gets the chance to extend the lead with a penalty for offside play. He makes no mistake and bangs over the extra three to give them a cosy halftime lead. That was a half of two halves! The Waratahs dominated early but the Crusaders came romping back! VIDEO OF ALL FIRST HALF TRIES UP SOON.

8:19pm - Crusaders dominating at scrum time, they have put the foot down in the last ten minutes.

8:14pm - TRY! FRUEAN IS IN AGAIN. This time he dives over on the left hand side. Backs and forwards combined well in a patient Crusaders attack. Dagg was in the line and provided an extra man for the 'Tahs to worry about. Sonny Bill was involved also with a great off load. All of a sudden the Crusaders and starting to move. Carter converts from the sideline, great kick.

8:10pm - What a try! Crusader's Robbie Fruean has pulled off a stunner. The Waratahs were working a backline move just on their side of halfway. Fruean rushed up and nabbed a superb intercept. From there no one was going to catch him and he dotted down under the posts. Carter makes no mistake with the extra two and the Crusaders lead fro the first time.

8:08pm - Carter nails a penalty goal, the chance coming from a mistake at scrum time by the 'Tahs front row. Carter looks to have the radar on line, the Waratahs could rue those missed kicks.

8:07pm - Promising stuff from the Crusaders backs sends Dagg in to space down the right hand flank, he is shut down by the Waratahs cover but good to see some attacking intent from the Crusaders.

8:04pm - Plenty of mistakes from both sides, poor execution in good conditions. Beale knocks over a long range penalty to extend the Waratahs lead. That kick only just got there!

7:58pm - TRY Waratahs! This time it's Luke Burgess who dots down for the visitors. Possibly some illegal work at ruck time earnt them the ball but then Burgess showed his class scooting down the left hand touch to score, unconverted. The 'Tahs have come to play!

7:54pm - Video now up of the minute's silence, check it out. Dagg makes a break before Ellis gets his hands on the pill and goes inside the 22m. The forwards take over and get a penalty for a ruck infringement.

7:50pm - Waratahs have a penalty shot but miss. The Crusaders regather from the restart and Whitelock heads off on a run down field.

7:48pm - Dan Carter nails the kick and the Crusaders have points on the board. That should settle some nerves.

7:45pm - Brad Thorne makes a break down the left side, the Crusaders giving the ball some air in their first attack. Penalty to the Crusaders, well within Carter's range.

7:40pm - A very poignant silence, the video will be up very soon. To the game and the Waratahs have started hot on attack, in fact it's an early try to the Australians! Second five Tom Carter was lurking out on the left hand wing and he dived over in the tackle of Whitelock. The conversion is missed but it's a great start and a brilliant way to cancel out the emotion from the Crusaders.

7:35pm - A minute's silence for the victims of both Pike River mine and the recent Christchurch earthquake...VIDEO to go up soon.

7:33pm - The team that this crowd have been waiting for, here come the Crusaders in their specially made jerseys.

7:30pm - The Crusader's horsemen are out on the park, playing up to a capacity crowd, nearly 11,000 at Trafalgar Park tonight...here come the teams.

7:25pm - The Crusaders are just heading into the sheds now to put on their one-off jerseys and for final instructions before this emotion charged game gets under way, stay tuned.
